When Purpose Meets Joy: Finding My Voice So I Can Help Others Find Theirs

Ronke Lawal | Event Moderator | Personal Branding Trainer | Speaker

There is something truly powerful that happens when purpose meets joy. It is more than a moment it is a feeling, a knowing, a deep connection to the work that lights you up. That feeling comes alive every time I step onto a stage, hold a microphone or guide someone through a personal branding breakthrough.

That joy you see in my smile is the result of doing work that aligns with who I am and what I’m here to do. I never expected that following my purpose with honesty and heart would lead me to a place where I now get to moderate events, lead personal branding and leadership workshops and seminars for incredible organisations like Everywoman Allbright and support others in stepping into their own spotlight through personal branding coaching. But here I am living it, loving it and entering spaces that are vibrant and dynamic, spaces which respect heartfelt leadership.

For years, I worked behind the scenes in PR, helping clients craft their stories, build their profiles and connect with audiences. That work taught me the value of intentional communication and the power of a clear message. However something shifted and I began to see that the work I loved most was not just about building visibility for others. It was about helping people own their visibility. I wanted to be there in the moment when someone discovered their voice. I wanted to help people understand that their story has power and their voice deserves space. So I stepped out from behind the curtain and onto the stage not to perform but to lead with purpose.

Whether I am moderating a panel discussion, facilitating a branding workshop or undertaking 1:1 coaching sessions, my goal is always the same: to create a space where people feel safe, supported and strong enough to show up as themselves.

There is a unique energy that fills a room, even a virtual one when someone realizes they can be both seen and heard. That moment when someone says, “I didn’t think I could do this,” and then does it anyway? That is the spark. That is why I do this work. Personal branding is not about becoming louder, it is about becoming clearer, it is about understanding your message, aligning with your values, and showing up in ways that feel true to you. Being the loudest person in the room does not make you the most effective. What makes someone stand out is confidence, clarity and connection. That is what I help people find on stage, in meetings and in everyday moments that matter.

I believe everyone deserves to take up space with purpose, everyone deserves to lead with authenticity and everyone has the ability to communicate with confidence, once they know how.

Today, I bring that belief into every workshop, keynote, and coaching session. I moderate conversations that matter. I guide individuals and teams toward stronger presence. I help people unlock the power of their personal brand so they can lead, speak and connect with ease. This work is not just my career, as corny as it might sound to some it is my calling and while I never set out to be in the spotlight, I have come to love the role I now play. Every time I stand in front of a group or support someone behind the scenes, I know I am helping create meaningful impact and doing it with joy.

Here is to more stages, more voices and more joy-filled moments. If you are ready to step into your presence, speak with purpose, and lead with confidence I would be honoured to guide you there. If you’d like me to bring my joy into your space book a call to discuss how we can work together!
