The future…

“Just remember, when you think all is lost, the future remains.” – Dr. Robert H. Goddard

“When one door of happiness closes, another opens, but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one that has been opened for us.” Helen Keller

Take responsibility…

“You are responsible for your life. You can’t keep blaming somebody else for your dysfunction. Life is really about moving on.” Oprah Winfrey

Be confident…
“Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.” –Henry David Thoreau

“You may be disappointed if you fail, but you are doomed if you don’t try.” –Beverly Sills

“Everything is a gift of the universe–even joy, anger, jealousy, frustration, or separateness. Everything is perfect either for our growth or our enjoyment.” Ken Keyes Jr.

“Focus on the journey, not the destination. Joy is found not in finishing an activity but in doing it.” Greg Anderson

“We must believe that we are gifted for something, and that this thing, at whatever cost, must be attained.” –Marie Curie

Live your dream…

Be patient…
“Even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness, and the word happy would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness. It is far better to take things as they come along with patience and equanimity.” Carl Jung

Be grateful…
“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.” Melody Beattie

Do not stop…
“It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop.” –Confucius

So many resonate but I’m especially feeling this one right now: “Everything is a gift of the universe–even joy, anger, jealousy, frustration, or separateness. Everything is perfect either for our growth or our enjoyment.” Ken Keyes Jr.

Thanks for these. Most resonate but my favourite is the Confucius saying about moving slowly. I sometimes feel I’m moving at a snails pace – need to remind myself that at least I’m moving in the right direction.
