On the 15th July 2017 I was invited to speak at the Black Blossoms Artist Conference. I facilitated two session on how creatives can effectively publicise their work and get media coverage. They were great interactive sessions and the overall conference had a great atmosphere. I really stressed the importance and power of media profiling for artists whose ideas are sometime appropriated by artists. I was also keen to stress that mainstream isn’t always the main thing when it comes to media campaigns and all media relations campaigns should be dynamic. Black Blossoms is an important collective which highlights the work of artists and creatives, specifically black women in the creative sector. By giving black women artists and photographers a space to enhance their skills and showcase their talents Black Blossoms is empowering a new generation of creative talent.
